Magic Hat

As destiny plays its many tricks, some good some better , but each one new, it reminds us of a magic show where no one knows what comes next and the possibilities are as wide as our imagination...

Magic Hat

Red curtains reeking
Dark lights and glow
Amidst confetti glittering
Table solitary placed
Cloaked figure, destiny unseen
Waves a wand around it
Magic hat and with a poof
A rabbit new, new trick

DESTINIA

Lady luck, and how she plays...

DESTINIA

Stronger, alone, she stood gazing
At a distant sun, setting, fading
Holding onto the bark set firm yet free
The mighty arm of a Mango tree

“Why you look lost, dear child, to me?”
“Life is tricky, O! Dear old tree.”
“LIFE IS AN OCCASION, IT SHALL BUT HAPPEN!”
“Give me strength to struggle,go forth, then...

Behind that boulder, look at that lake
Hear out its story, then judge for my sake
Nothin but a hole muddy it ever was
And now! It blossoms, no time to pause.

One day long ago as I strolled happy as I'd be
I saw it, "true", yet I fell. Silly.
But the hole had cried its songs and wails
‘No birds would visit, no boats would sail’

With water from tears of joy and sorrow
I filled it with a life, a new tomorrow
Like a sister, a friend, a child dear
I made it a lake and it grew so near
to my heart, that wicked, thorny bush!
Wicked Destinia who smirked as she jeered ‘push’.”

“ ‘Alas! You innocent fool’ I could say,
That ‘you are a child’ or that ‘there'd be a day’
But here, in my leaves rusty, take my voice.
SEEK ONLY A MELODY, LEAVE OUT THE NOISE.”

A hundred lovely rusty leaves shed.
Wide eyed, she looked on as her heart still bled.
Little elves emerged as the leaves burst
together they crooned “To the lake first.”

She got picked by the wind, her locks flew
like silky tassels and before she knew
she saw the lake, a perfect round,
with a million lotuses all around.
Leaves glossy sprawled across like dew
The placid lake showed the night sky new
And as shone a million galaxies,
from the pearly drops emerged the pixies-
glittering, scattering stardust bright
as they hopped off from leaves, towards the light
their tiny feet pushed down a little
the lotus leaves and many a ripple
in the starry soup, glittering patterns made
as the night got magical, ceasing to fade.

Hovering dumbstruck, she gazed without a fight
as on she looked, mouth open in delight.
“Unaware of Destinia, little child, you are.
Look at your painting, a shining star!
You may dislike it, but life is divine.
SOME MAKE YOU SPARKLE, YOU MAKE SOME SHINE!
Created by Destinia's will alone, true,
A BRUSH OWNS NO PAINT, AND NEITHER WILL YOU.
Those little fairies! Look at them dance.
Do they know their birth is a destined chance?
They may dance for you, for me, for all
They may grow glitters on a dull night wall.

Some woods in this world, if not your heart,
would thank Destinia for your unknown part,
as they shall shine by this loving deed hence
keep no grudges and do no sins!

EACH WORD YOU SPEAK, IS A SONG SHE WROTE.
SHE MADE YOU FALL, SHE MADE YOU FLOAT.”

SHEPHERD

Kill me but death could be a respite
Let me live, if you wish, for your delight
but when you look, look at me, not through
For people look upto things but I look upto you
I may have erred but I am a child, old
I may seem evil but my heart is gold
And if I loose my dreams, I will find one new,
It captures the sun, I will capture the dew.
But when the flame that melts a candle is gone
The candle is lost in a night with no dawn.
Like an orphan with no fingers to hold on to
I'd know no peace, no joy without you.
I tremble at the very thought of being so lonely.
Punish me but don't leave me with my puzzles only.
If only you'd mark the path I should choose,
my spirit shall remain free and I wouldn't loose
my righteousness, my truth, my soul,
I'd know the reason, I'd know my role.

In a cacophony if they hear a rhyme,
A child's cry, fills the heart with love each time.
And in this hustle when your sound is heard
To guide so, takes an excellent shepherd
A silly lamb, me! I see not far
without you, my shepherd, my guiding star

The Caterpillar

Scared, he crawled as fast as he could. Without glancing back, he knew that the beast was up close. 'Just a few more inches!' He thought.
It was probably a lucky day, the little caterpillar reached a small hole in the branch just in time, leaving his winged enemy empty stomach.
'Phew!' He thought.

The bird peeped into the hole.
'You know I will get you. Why the fight! Huh' mocked the bird.
The caterpillar lay silent, coiled into the farthest corner.

'Get, fatter, you crawling little treat, I shall get you tomorrow, ha!' And the bird flew away.

The poor little caterpillar was frightened. He knew he could never go far enough to escape the wrath of the evil bird!  Following this, he was upset. 'He is right, that monster of a bird. I am just a juicy treat. There is nothing more to my life than crawling up and down these branches!'
Following this, he was angry. 'Its your fault, God.' He accused. 'You make him big strong and also let him fly. While me? I am just a wretched useless thing, insignificant, mocked and hunted!'
He sat and thought about his misfortune.
While he thought he was meant to scale branches for the rest of his life, destiny had something else in store for him!

'Rest within me' he heard.
'Who is this?' He asked, shaking.
'Why, I am your mother tree!'
Confused, the little caterpillar lay silent.

'Trust me, you should trust yourself a little more dear child!' Spoke the mother tree.

'But that bird is right.' Protested the bug.
'Yes he is. You are a tiny child, he is a big one. But remember, you dont have to be what you dont want to!'
Seeing the caterpillar even more baffled, the mother tree said 'come here, rest, and let your destiny be welcomed by your optimism! You alone have the key, child'

Unsure, the caterpillar decided to listen to the seemingly wise mother tree.

A few days later, emerged the butterfly in full glory. He batted his lovely wings as he pushed through the wind.
'I can fly!' He exclaimed.

He went round and round and before he plunged into the unknown, he came back and sat on the mother tree.

'I thank you for everything mother.' He said.
She smiled. 'Goodbye, child' she spoke silently.

MIDNIGHT AUTUMN

MIDNIGHT AUTUMN

To care about the world rest,
a dream, profound, but dream?
winds unreal, tangible, strong,
fly us far like elder leaves
ochre winged, we feel like birds
ochre jewel but in ochre throng.

Glibly along the flow of winds;
who sent them, we wont think.
Passive, yet smug with flight,
Far away until where is chosen
alone by the lords of winds
to places, we seek our delight.

At midnight, hums a single song
"You strike ochre for ochre",
Autumn beseech us to say,
"However much you turn to fight
its only so far you can go,
all ochre you shall all stay."

"Why care about the world rest
your world is your dream deep
a sweet nothing for you to live.
At midnight autumn, look up,
beyond ochre and your rosy green
at all the light the moon can give."

MIDNIGHT AUTUMN

It is a poem that talks about some aspects of human behaviour
It talks about how this whole world is just a dream, one day we will all wake up and what we acheive in this world wont matter
'Midnight autumn' implies the end of autumn, symbolic for the end of ignorance, false pride and vice.
The poem begins with a question...

'To care.... ?'

It provokes the reader to think how much shd he care about the world, as in, how much shd he bother about what people think and how much shd he judge others. It says 'a dream profound but dream' implying that no matter how realistic and deep the dream may be, it still is only a dream
Our lives are compared to those of ochre coloured leaves seen in autumn.
Wind carries them.

Here wind is a metaphor for an unseen force that can be felt and is strong (God?Destiny?)
so, destiny takes us where we reach. Destiny makes us what we become
(And thus no need to judge each other)
Sometimes, as we fly along the wind, we feel highly about ourselves. (Compared to a leaf feeling like a bird. The difference is that while a bird can fly on its own, a leaf is passively carried by the wind)

An ochre leaf may feel grand, like some jewel, but if it looks around carefuly, everyone else is also ochre
Second stanza elaborates on the flight of the leaves / the course of our lives.
It says that along the wind we smoothly flow without thinking who sends them for us and why. Despite the fact that destiny gets us whatever we have, some people get high headed.
Third stanza says, that at midnight (at the end) autumn sings only one song (one message)
this means that when the autumn of ignorance ends and for it to end,  we all must understand one thing:
People try to demean people (ochre strikes ochre) but no matter how much we fight, we can only go so far as is destined for us and that we are all same and remain what we are meant to be (ochre you shall all stay)
The message also provokes people to not be bothered by what others tell them.  It says, our world is our dream, deep and sweet and yet nothing at the same time.
(Thus telling people to live the way they want to and yet not be so competitive as, being a dream , it will end one day)
In the last three lines, the message says that at the end of the autumn (autumn= ignorance,  deceit, discord, all things bad )
we must look not at others (beyond ochre=beyond others) and not at our silly goals (beyong rosy green= beyond the dreams of spring)
and instead, look up, at the moon and see the light (=get enlightened and realise the simple truth in the message)
