Silently
Silently
They silently seek miracles
Speak not, nor know
In hopes they push aside
as innocence juvenile
Yet within, innocent souls
They silently seek miracles
Silently, prayers disguised,

Fairy Tales (series)
The muse of this poem is the powerful picture at the end. Once again I would like to give credits to the anonymous artist.
This poem tries to bring out the turmoil of a person suffering with depression. If you know anyone who is depressed, please lend them support. They need your love and patience...
DIARY OF A BROKEN BIRD
I still don't know what to remember
What I have lost or what I had found
And here you are, a confusion
At best, I'd say, 'a sweet distraction'
I don't know what I am anymore
Am I still the broken, chained -bird "free"?
I don't know , what could I do
with or without hurting you.
Some times I see myself
Adding new leaves to my diary
I had torn away blank pages all
But then I know I am broken beyond belief
I guess I will just pick this broken bird I found
And see him heal
My every new moment is just that - a moment
There is no smile that hides no sorrow
One day when I am strong enough
I will put an end to this theatre of my life
And look just as blankly at the winter sun
Or if I am stronger, I will walk with the winds
And find my place amongst the flowers
I will then look at the happy birds naive
And bless them with all my power

Fairy Tales (series)
This is a poem on the plight of those sweet, lost, direction less depressed souls, that require help and encouragement.
If you know some such person, please try and be patient and kind. They could be living with 'all hope lost' but they aren't hopeless cases. They are people like you and me.
OUT OF 'URN'
In darkness dwelled
"It's your prison own"
she denied "not mine.
lest I could have flown.
"Pitch black and painful
Mindless insane
Save me somebody!"
She thought no one came.
"You don't understand"
She thought no one could
And forever in dark,
"live" she would.
In darkness, dwelled
until one fine day
she moved over the lid
she had found her grace!
Lit up and lively
All alive all anew
She had left her urn
And out she flew!

SUNIAN SONGS
She held her songs in her heart
And with a blow she gently lay
Them, those seeds of gentle greens
Nurtured with all her magical love
From her bosom to land and sea
One of mother earth's seven angels
That hop about in her stead
Whilst she lay chained in dusty grey
They lope with hope each day instead

Fairy Tales (Series)
This series is inspired from a set of very thought provoking images of 'fairy land'. I am glad I received these images:)
The story of 'Frog Prince' signifies the power of love. Our judgement makes us tag people (in the case of this story, tagged as a frog). However, when we shed the curtain of judgement and start to really 'see' via our feelings, when we give people a chance and try to accept them, we see the same old people in a lovely new light!
Ah well, this title is not apt for the poem, technically.
FROG PRINCE
She looked hard for an imperfection - even a single thread that she could hold,
But she succumbed to this insanely beautiful insanity, for he was too perfect to be cold.

This poem says that the world we see is the world within us. It talks about this little, innocent girl, Mooney, who is at awe with the beauty of the world. Little is she aware of her own beauty. If only she knew it is the beauty of her own heart that enables her to see the beauty in the world around.
This poem, in a way, requests us all to be kinder to ourselves.
MOONEY
She looked at the moon
At her beauty, she smiled
She didn't know it was a mirror;
Only as beautiful as the moon light, bright
Only as sweet,
And only as kind.

Fairy Tales (Series)
This is a series of short but thought provoking poems that are based on a set of images I found.
The following poem shows a sudden enlightenment and how it changes the perspective from one of gloom to that of joy and how this change causes a renewal...
SUN KISSED
All this time she thought it was dark
She had been sleeping in a flower's heart!
Sun kissed it open, her sun-kissed hair
Flew wildly like wind, throbbed her heart fair.

PEA
She was stranded
On an island grey
In a pond deep black
Behold these peas
An angel said that day.
She ate the peas
As the sun came around
As the moon went up
In rain as glistened
So grey, the ground!
"Bland peas" she thought
"If only had a beanstalk too"
But then she took
Pea pod across the pond
Onto a land green, new.

Ink Blue
Love could be beautiful, love could be sad and blue. This poem is about a love as sad as it is pure: it is ink blue. Yet, it is beautiful and mature like the autumn. It opens a portal to a parallel world that is limitless like the cosmos it self...
Ink blue
Meeting in their parallel world
A spectacular galactic, cosmic dance
Amidst starlit night and sun-kissed grass
Autumnal, just as their vital love
In wilderness unlit, no fake shadows cast
Near a pond moonlit, with creaks and croaks
Behind a boulder, next to a mountain-rose
Faint fragrance of the flower spread
Right there is where destiny had led
Sweet portal to a parallel world
And there they reside forever safe
The king, the queen, the ink blue night.

Red Umbrella
Worry not
For slippery grounds
For greys upon us
Or sounds of hounds
Come underneath
this umbrella red
Come hold my hand
Let us go to bed
Worry not
Rains only quench
Let go of fear
Put on your trench
Come with me
In this umbrella red
Come hold my hand
Let us go to bed

WAKE UP CALL
Civilisation is choking the Earth. And so are the half hearted desperate , sporadic attempts to try save her...
WAKE UP CALL
A wake up call
Heard by all
Wake up how
We ask now
And to what
Can wake up our lot
The next morn
Sodden sun, sworn
Yet not saved
Earthy Earth caved
By leaves dry, stale
No flower not pale

Magic Hat
As destiny plays its many tricks, some good some better , but each one new, it reminds us of a magic show where no one knows what comes next and the possibilities are as wide as our imagination...
Magic Hat
Red curtains reeking
Dark lights and glow
Amidst confetti glittering
Table solitary placed
Cloaked figure, destiny unseen
Waves a wand around it
Magic hat and with a poof
A rabbit new, new trick

Amaltas
Here is an ode to the beautiful tree and flowers of Cassia fistula also known as Amaltas. It blooms in May, just as summer peaks.
The flowers hang delicately and fall with the slightest quiver embellishing the earth below.
AMALTAS
Bright boughs of the summer queen
You stand so tall, so tall
Little drops of summer as you hold
You, your rise herald the sun,
As sun drips like blood in your veins
Drips from each little petal you hold
As they unfurl, little flags,
As lit beacons of summer, lit
Bright boughs, so yellow, so darling bright
A new tapestry in the anteroom
To the hall of fame of the glorious sun
Of seven seas, the lord almighty.
In your beauty, summer queen, is seen
What lay under the frozen earth.
Bright boughs of the summer queen,
For as you stand tall on the world that is,
You reach below to what all it may become
The hope, the wonder and the joy,
You keep alive in your color, so vividly,
Oh queen of the changing era,
Humble with all your lovely charm,
As you paint both sky and earth alike,
With colours of awe on a canvas divine
With strokes of wonder and brush of time
To tell a tale yet to shine
Little drops of summer you hold
Like folklore, unwritten truth.
Ah! Now the queen has risen again.
Ah it's time again for the summer!

The cry
Oh you think I am haunted?
The tree of a witch mean?
Afraid to look at?
Afraid to see?
I am but a tree
I am but a tree
Oh you think I like it here?
Amidst these valleys vast?
Each morn upon you
A spell they cast!
I am but lonely
I am but lonely
Oh you think I am crazy?
Delusional and old?
Grumpy and sorry,
And lonely and cold!
I am but angry
I am but angry
You see, for pleasure
in your valley glazed
You killed my friends
And billboards placed!
You will be sorry
You will be sorry

Dance of the Fairies
Dance of the fairies
In the summer sun
Red glitter in their frock
And bling on their bun
In jungle green
By a brook from heaven
They dance all day
The sisters seven

FLAG
It flutters with free winds. It speaks with skies high. The symbol of our freedom, a flag, itself bound in ropes. At mercy of the ruler, unfurled. Then folded when need be. How strange it is that with but a flag, in wars, the fates of nations are seen!
Are we still enslaved?
FLAG
Symbol of freedom
Bound with rope
Unfurling me
Takes more than hope
I am a flag
And tall I stand.
How tall I stand!
How tall I stand?
