THE RED OF REMORSE

As we travel through the ups and downs of life , sometimes we look back and regret certain tiny yet at times life-changing fate-altering decisions that were taken by us. If good, we hardly look back at them. Its when they pain like a gigantic thorn in the vulnerable soft human mind that things turn 'red' so to say. How 'red' is remorse?

THE RED OF REMORSE

After a long walk through the snows
He sat, old farmer at the table
A false belief used to grow in him
A lamp lit off a fable

But stars my peep at snows fallen
Not one shall descend down
Trees still, would shake off the flakes one day
Come sun, they will melt and drown

And clouds that sprayed them for else
In their own loneliness, forgotten
Drift across skies sucked into grey
Over fruits left unpicked, rotten

Old farmer of fields made barren
Retires by a fireplace that only chills
A bowl full of soup boiled, but water bland!
The blade of remorse thus kills

Umbrella

Umbrella

Hid under the umbrella of diffidance
A queenly lass in a town so quaint
strode forwards towards the fields across
In her stride, a queen, in heart, a saint.

Every today is tomorrows yesterday
It could rain or it could brightly shine.
her tiara of faith her very own ferry,
her very own river and very own dime.

The streets of struggle are only made
of cobbled joy and feebled sorrow,
With lamps of wonder with light of awe,
And lots of life and love to borrow.

In a jungle so conceived by human mire,
through the web of confusions so unreal,
to laugh and cry and weep and hug,
through, to the wilderness so surreal.
